Okay so I will be the first to leave a comment. My name is Julie and I am coming all the way from sunny Scotland to take part in this awesome games!! I am looking forward to my adventure. Although I think I am gonna melt in your heat!!!
Don't worry Julie, there are other Scots coming . . . (Not me, I'm from Texas) . . you can all melt together . . . ;-)
TP-Cant wait to meet you and your lot, will be fun Who are the other Scots? I have not heard of any others, thats great news!!
Wow...all the way from Scotland. That is awesome. My friends and I will be coming in from Atlanta. See you there!
MikeG has a posse, and I'm a member.
Julie, sorry so long to reply!
Okay, I know of one true Scot (her handle is LittleRedHead, you'll find her posting on the Brand X forums often), and Kempie (who runs http://www.crossfitnortheastengland.com/) He's actually 'stralian" but I've been told he speaks near perfect Scottish).
Mike G? Of the butterfly kip? Any chance you'll be giving a demo? I need to chip my other front tooth . . .
Oh, I am such a tard. Julie, YOU are the one I was referring to. You are probably the ONLY Scots . . . .
And in addition to making dippy mistakes, ending sentences in prepositions, I obviously can't learn exotic Scottish names like Julie. I named my daughter Julia. Sounds so similar . . . man am I a bampot or what?
Is there anywhere on the site where folks are coordinating room sharing, rides etc? I've reserved a room with two beds (knowing full well, sometimes you get what you get when you get there . . ) and splitting the cost would save a good bit. Anyway, if you want more info, email me and we can discuss it.
Patrick
TP, I'll definitely help you out with the butterfly kip. see you there!
Hey Julie,
There will be at least one more Scot (kind of) at the games, me. I am competing in the Monterey Highland Games that weekend, then will be at the CrossFit Games sat pm, and sunday. I will be the big guy in the kilt, Please say hello if you see me. I competed in Newtonmore, Scotland last summer. Best of luck to all!
