CrossFit Movie Outtake - Dutch's Timing Bungle
Dutch flew through the Thruster/Pull-up workout. When he finished his final pull-up, his judge hit the stopwatch. When he checked the watch, the time wasn't there. Something had gone wrong. With over a dozen athletes competing, each judge had to be the timer also, and there was no way a single master time could be kept. What to do?
Fortunately, the Sevan the Great had selected Dutch as one of the athletes featured in the CrossFit Movie, so Dutch's entire workout was filmed. Sevan gave the tape to Tony Budding, who watched it in private. The tape is accurate to 1/24th of a second, and Dutch ended up tying for 3rd place with a time of 3:30.

Oh the drama! LOL
Seriously though, I can't even begin to imagine how Dutch and his judge must have been feeling! Dutch handled it like a champ though, I probably would've gone stark raving mad! :-)
I really can't wait for this think to come out!
Good old Sevan!
I think Dutch's name needs fixing in the video..
DID everyone break on the 21 pullups?
Wow, I felt so bad for that judge but, as I know, they are human and stuff happens. It's great they had the video of the workout.
The breaking of the 21 pull-ups would have been a good idea for me; I went into the round of 15 with a lot less in the tank than usual. I think after OPT's heat almost everyone broke up the 21 pull-ups.
Man, that judge must have felt awful. Poor guy. It's better that this happened to Dutch though, rather than some lower profile athlete who wouldn't have had cameras on him the whole time.
I am very impressed with Dutch's reaction. It further enforces his position as one of my favorite top Crossfitters and a major role model of mine. I hope I have the pleasure of meeting him one day.
