What are the CrossFit Games?

“In implementation, this looks like sport. This is revolutionary. It's as distinctive of the program as are the movements and the charter of functionality and variance. Our workouts are competitive events.

The strength and value of CrossFit lies entirely within our dominance of other athletes. This is a truth divined through competition, not debate.”

Greg Glassman, CrossFit Co-Founder & CEO
3, 2, 1 — GO!

Kallista, you are an awesome athlete and an inspiration to the crossfit community. You exude the spirit of crossfit and remind each one of us what this is all about. Your passion and determination is contagious just watching the amount of heart and energy you put into every movement, and your form is absolutely incredible! Keep that drive you have inside of you...with it you are capable of anything! It was an honor being at the games with you and I can't wait to see you next year!

By Tanya Wagner on July 8, 2008 4:48 PM

Kallista, you have a heart of gold young lady; your genuine humility is very refreshing. :)

By Gar on July 8, 2008 5:49 PM

Kallista, it was a thrill to watch and cheer for you, and an equal pleasure to be around you at the Games. I feel lucky to have taken the opportunity to shake your hand. I equally enjoyed meeting your proud father and as a proud father of a wonderful daughter, fully appreciate his beaming smile.

Thanks for you incredible performance! Paul

By Apolloswabbie on July 8, 2008 6:44 PM

Yes, I've watched the video a few times now - that was truly Amazing!!! Putting it into context, of how sore and worn out you must have been after giving your all on the 3 workouts the prior day, and how much smaller you are than the other fully grown women made it that much more incredible. Thanks for the inspiration! I'll be using the images that are ingrained in my mind over the next several weeks as I suffer through the WOD, to will myself to dig a little deeper.

One thing that has perhaps been overlooked, is just how impeccable your form was, too on that body weight C & J. Great work!

By Ian on July 8, 2008 6:59 PM

Dudette you rocked it out this weekend!!!!! :) You are such a sweetie! I was so delighted to have met you and to have witnessed your performance....it was truly amazing! I don't know if you will ever truly know the influence and impact you had on the people over the weekend, for me, it was huge! Keep up the great work! Continue to influence others by your actions and your sweet and humbling nature. You are an incredible athlete!! Rock out the gifts that you have been given girl!!! If you are ever in Utah we (Chris and I) would love to have you at our place for a WOD!!!! You are welcome anytime!

You rock missy!!!!!
Sarah S.

By the way: I took some pics of you doing the C & J. What is your email address? I'd love to send them to you!

By Speal Wifey on July 8, 2008 8:16 PM

Meeting and getting to know you and sharing the same heats together was the absolute highlight of my weekend. Your clean and jerk performance gave me the same chills that Nadia Comaneci did with her perfect 10 bar routine. Actually, yours was way better. I have never seen such determination, perseverance and fortitude displayed by anyone. Keep up the good work. You are a tremendous inspiration. I will think of your C&J's everytime I ever want to give up on a WOD or anything else for that matter. You rock!!!!!

By Gillian Mounsey on July 8, 2008 8:17 PM

Here are some video's that I put together from photos and actual video footage I shot during the weekend. Enjoy!

By Louise on July 8, 2008 9:46 PM
