What are the CrossFit Games?

“In implementation, this looks like sport. This is revolutionary. It's as distinctive of the program as are the movements and the charter of functionality and variance. Our workouts are competitive events.

The strength and value of CrossFit lies entirely within our dominance of other athletes. This is a truth divined through competition, not debate.”

On August 2nd, 2008 goCrossFit in Nashville, TN put on a Challenge. It was three workouts, two that were known, and one that was a surprise.

The first was 50 pull-ups for time.

The second was 5 rounds for time of:
15 Deadlifts
12 Hang power cleans
9 Front squats
6 Push jerks

The third WOD ended up being overhead farmer's walks sandwiching a run. Ouch!

What were some of the times for 50 pullups for time? I have been doing that recently after WOD's. I would be interested to hear what the fire breathers are doing it in

My guess is it has to be under a minute for the 50 pull ups.

Winning female (Kate Tong) time for all three was 23:53; winning male (Clark Smith) time for all three was 20:57 (not 100% sure about that one). Top female time for pull ups was 2:11, and I don't know what the male time was for pull ups...although, I know it was way faster than mine.
Weight for the second WOD was 135 male/95 female.
